From a life‑changing moment at age 45 to becoming Toronto’s leading artificial grass and backyard putting green installer — this is our story.

I was in between careers at the age of 45 years when I first saw an advertorial on the Golf Channel about artificial golf greens. This was a ground‑breaking moment in my life as a total golf enthusiast, and I plunged into investigating the availability and expectations for selling backyard golf green services in Canada. Instinctively, I knew that there was a huge camaraderie of fellow golf lovers, and the more I plowed into the numbers, I knew that this was a business worth pursuing — and pursue I did.

How It All Started

After seeing that advertorial, I secured a deal with a major artificial turf manufacturer, set up trucking logistics, and leased a small warehouse. The next challenge was figuring out how to bring this service to the public.

That journey led me back to night school to learn HTML — the language of the internet. I wasn’t a fast learner, but I was determined. Every waking moment went into building a website that would eventually pay off in spades.

The Game‑Changing Discovery

Soon after installing our first backyard putting greens, our manufacturer introduced a new artificial turf product that mimicked the look and feel of real grass. I was simply gobsmacked. I knew instantly that this was a revolution — a solution for every homeowner who struggled to grow natural grass.

We were in on the ground floor of a new industry. Artificial grass that looks real, feels real, drains perfectly, and requires zero maintenance. Demand exploded, and our business grew faster than I ever imagined.
